Going Inside

A Women’s Recovery Group

Learn to use the IFS model to recover your True Self

Have your experiences with addiction, trauma, or abuse left you feeling less than whole, perfect, and complete?

You've likely made strides in changing unhealthy behaviors, but a deep part of you craves more.

You yearn for:

  • Fulfilling Relationships: Connect with others in a healthy, authentic way.

  • Inner Peace and Happiness: Let go of the struggle and find lasting joy.

  • Meaningful Self-Realization: Live a life fueled by your authentic purpose.

How could I know that making that first appointment with Bill Tierney would rock my entire heart, mind and soul?  Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) gave me a meaningful way to understand and heal. Today, I no longer want alcohol in my life and I continually surprise myself with self-love.”

Who is the group for?

This group is for people who are new to the IFS model and wish to benefit by practicing it in their everyday life. It is for those who are willing to learn how to take personal responsibility for their experience of life. Those who are new to therapy and personal development may need to work 1 on 1 with an IFS practitioner or therapist to develop the capacity to be with strong emotions.

How will this be accomplished?

When your focus is primarily on your external world, the circumstances of life are in control of your inner state. By learning to direct your conscious attention inwardly you will focus on what is responsible for your experience. This group is called “Going Inside” because that is what the IFS model does so well. It helps us focus inside on the parts that influence our thoughts, emotions, and actions. The IFS model is a compassionate approach that helps us befriend, help, and form alliances with parts so they can do what they do best - help us live our lives. Parts that get stuck in the past provide ineffective and problematic help because they are reacting to what happened in the past and are unable to respond in ways that reflect current reality. They unintentionally recreate the past until they become unburdened and updated. Once this happens, our parts can partner with us in the present moment to help us live as the best and highest versions of ourselves. Going Inside, an introduction to the IFS model helps participants begin this journey of healing and personal development.
